Tips for improving your musical ear!!?

I have been playing the guitar for approx 10 years and i%26#039;m after any tips for improving your musical ear so that i can learn to play solo%26#039;s in a quicker time frame??
Tips for improving your musical ear!!?
There are plenty of books around for ear training. I actually borrowed one from our library in an effort to train my ear a bit better, and I%26#039;d say I have improved. Just look around for a good book or something.

Basically, the book entailed chords and steps and other cool things, but you should have a piano handy. If you don%26#039;t want to check out a book or anything, just try to play two notes together (at the same time) and then try to hum each note individually. That makes you listen more carefully to each of the notes.
Tips for improving your musical ear!!?
having a better ear won%26#039;t help you learn things more quickly. it will help you with intonation, but it don%26#039;t think that%26#039;s an issue with guitar. still, it%26#039;s a wonderful thing to do.

you%26#039;ll learn things more quickly if you know all scales(major, minor, chromatic, whole tone etc.) and arpeggios (major, minor, diminished sevenths etc.)

there should be excercise books out there for guitar

hope this helped

I am going to sing in a talent show what should I sing?

I am a young girl and my voice isnt matured.
I am going to sing in a talent show what should I sing?
all four seasons by crowded house. good luck.
I am going to sing in a talent show what should I sing?
You should sing any song you like, and anything your comfortable singing with. And do you know the song All I have to do is dream by The Everly Brothers? If you don%26#039;t I think you should listen to it on you tube, If you know that song then it%26#039;s a good song to sing. Well sing any song you like that fits your personality.

im in to more metal and hardcore music, but any good guitar tabs will work for me!

thnx.

You mean you%26#039;ve been practicing for a couple of weeks. Work on conditioning your fingers, learn some chords, maybe take some lessons. You have a long way to go before you start playing Metal, and Hardcore music.

The Hush Sound - Free Sheet Music?

Hey! Can anyone help me? I%26#039;m just getting back into playing the piano and I%26#039;m really excited about it. Anyways, I was wondering where I could find some sheet music from The Hush Sound. Small Hands, guitar?

Hello, I%26#039;ve had a Fender Strat laying around for about 3-4 years. I%26#039;ve been practicing but always have a hard time playing simple chords. I have very small hands and can only reach 3 frets comfortably. Are there any techniques for people with small hands to play a guitar successfully?

I always get frustrated whenever I practice, because I can%26#039;t seem to reach more complex chords let alone reaching basic chords. Somebody please help. Thank you.
Small Hands, guitar?
HELLO. I do not know how old you are. My suggestion for you is to do exercises that will have your hand grow larger. Do them in a repetitive basis, so your body will take your efforts seriously. good luck.
Small Hands, guitar?
I dont know what the Chris guy above me is smoking- but you cant do exercises to make your hands grow LARGER but you can find ways to stretch your hands to reach the chords. i have tiny hands too and have the same issue. Try bending your wrists in non-traditional ways. I have seen people with little hands bend their wrists funky. it actually looks kinda unique and rad. Keep on trying. you will get it :)
Reply:I also have short and stubby fingers, and I play guitar exceptionally well, %26quot;where there is a will, there is a way%26quot;!

There are a hundred ways to make the same chords, you don%26#039;t have to do them like the book, nor like everybody else does, you have to find your %26quot;niche%26quot;, and play your own way of making chords! I did !

There are a lot of shortcuts, and tricks, all you have to do is discover them, or watch other guitar players,(this helped me a lot) !

Also what I discovered in my years of playing that different guitars are smaller around the neck than others! You may have to look for a different guitar that is more suitable! (don%26#039;t get rid of the Strat, it%26#039;s worth a lot of money)

The Gibsons are large around the neck, but I noticed that some Telecasters have a real small neck, and this helped me and my short fingers a lot!

Also, the 1950%26#039;s Strats have a V-shaped neck which is smaller than the normal one and this will help a lot!

I found an Ibanez SX series that has a slender small neck and it just about plays itself, it is so easy to play!

If you will look around, I know you can find one, that will be easy to play!

Don%26#039;t let the fact, that you don%26#039;t have %26quot;Jimi Hendrix%26quot; fingers stop you from becoming a good guitarist!

Guitar tuning question?

ive been playing the guitar for literally just a couple of days

im noticing when i go to look for tabs they have tunings like drop d or drop c.

i know youre supposed to tune your guitar to that and i know how to do that and everything

my question is: can you just play the song in normal tuning (eadgbe)? will it still sound the same, roughly, or will it sound way off?
Guitar tuning question?
Yes, it will sound completely off. This is because you will be playing completely different notes, and therefore different chords and stuff if you tried to play it in standard tuning. If you want to, you can tune your guitar that way. Personally, I just stay away from that stuff because it is annoying (except drop D that is easy)
Guitar tuning question?
It will both sound the same and sound way off. Depending on your point of view. If you listen to a few bars of the song and try to play it with standard tuning, you will be COMPLETELY disoriented. Trust me. But if you know the song really well, you%26#039;ll be fine. You%26#039;re just in a different key. The song will sound fine, but when you listen to the recording it will sound way off.

Bottom line: you can play the song just fine in normal tuning. Just don%26#039;t listen to the recording right away. :)
Reply:it wont sound the same and dont worry about playin these songs until u get beter hus worry about the basics lke learnig chords nd sum scales and a coupler of simple riffs 2 build ur cofidence so u dont get ur self in a rut

The guitar is a really old instrument!

I don%26#039;t think the guitar is that old of an instrument, instrumentally speaking. Lutes and the like, yes.

New pickup's for guitar. any recomendations?

ive bin playin guitar fo a couple of mounths now nd i play i les paul special 2 which has ok pickups but i wont 2 get sumthin a little better thts not open coil nd thts not cheap but not 2 expensive ohh nd btw if u can send me a link on how to r3move picks ups it will b appreciated other wise ill jus take my guitar into music stop nd thell have 2 do it.Thnx
New pickup%26#039;s for guitar. any recomendations?
I don%26#039;t think you should modify anything yet, because you%26#039;re still a newbie at guitar. But hey, it%26#039;s your money, go spend it if you like. Pickups are really just a preference, and it also depends on what style of music you really play. If you only have one guitar, and don%26#039;t want the open coiled, than I%26#039;d recommend Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates SH-PG1 (I put this on my ESP Custom, and it sounds beautiful) on the neck and put a Seymour Duncan Parallel Axis Trembucker Blues Sarasceno PATB-3. That combination is very versatile to any type of genre. The cost... Well it%26#039;s not too expensive, although it will damage your wallet a bit. Uhm... I would HIGHLY RECOMEND not doing the job yourself, as you can damage the guitar, if not destroy it all together, if you have little to no knowledge of guitar tech. It%26#039;s alot easier to take it to the shop, trust me on this.

Just go for the best. Buy a Taylor. If you buy a cheap guitar, it will be hard to play and therefore will discourage you from practicing. They now offer solid-body electrics as well as their full line of acoustics, so no matter what type of guitar you are in the market for, you can buy a Taylor.

Translate music from alto sax to flute?

Hi . . I am trying to transpose music so that my son can play the alto sax and I can play my flute. . . he can play the original tune so I need to transpose down for the flute . . .it starts in B so I need to know the equivalent note on the flute for an alto sax b . . i have tried just figuring it out but it doesn%26#039;t seem to work . . thanks for any help . . theresa
Translate music from alto sax to flute?
The term for what you%26#039;re trying to do is %26quot;transpose%26quot;.

Flutes are C instruments, Alto Saxophones are E instruments. So if it starts in B for alto sax, the same note for flute is a G.
Translate music from alto sax to flute?
Alto sax is an Eb instrument. In other words when an Alto sax sees a C they play Eb. In the case of the alto it is the Eb below the note on the treble clef.

When a flute sees a C they play C.

So basically down three half steps from E flat to C.

You can use this to transpose things quickly:

http://www.simusic.com/transpose.html

However, its good to know what key the original music is in.

Hope that helps.

Edit: The girl above me is slightly wrong, its most definitely an E flat instrument

Edit: Just use the website I gave you. On the website. Type in the notes B D E in the website. and then set the options so you are transposing 3 half steps up from flute to alto sax.

or if you want to think about it:

B to B# (one half step)

B# is enharmonic (the same pitch as) to C

so C to C# (another half step)

C# to D (third half step)

tadah! so its D
Reply:Ok- let’s see if I can help you out…

A sax is usually the instrument that transposes… the alto sax is in Eb, and the flute is in C (like the piano and guitar). When you both play a “C” for your instrument, the flute SOUNDS a “C”, and the sax SOUNDS an “Eb”. To fix this, the sax would play a minor third (3 half steps) down. We (band people) call this Concert pitch. So if the director says “Play Bb Concert pitch”, anyone with a transposing instrument would adjust their note accordingly (there are also instruments in Bb and F, for example) to play the same note.

Now, with what you are trying to do, you need to go the opposite way… you need to go UP a minor 3rd (3 half steps). So yes, you are correct- his “B” is your “D”… “B” to “C” (1), “C” to “C#” (2), “C#” to “D” (3).

Do realize though, that you will be in unison, but in octaves. So if he is playing a “B” that is the middle of the staff, you will be playing your “D” 2 ledger lines above the staff.

The “actual” way that you would transpose to meet his note would be to go down a Major 6th (a minor 3rd and Major 6th are the same interval). If you don’t mind playing in octaves, don’t worry about it. If you want “true” unison, you could also think UP a minor 3rd, and then play an octave lower.

So the first 3 notes are:

HE plays “B” “D” “E”… YOU play “D” “F” “G”

I hope this helps you out! And a word of advice… I know your son probably just started on sax, but it is never too early to teach him theory (or too late for you to catch some too! lol). As he gets older, and especially if he plays in a jazz band, he will need to understand the transposition and how chords work. Maybe you two could take turns trying to transpose… even if you mess it up, it can be great fun laughing and playing together!

Good Luck to both of you, and have fun!

Does any one no where i can find a macbeth monologue ?
MACBETH

A monologue from the play by William Shakespeare

MACBETH: Is this a dagger which I see before me,

The handle toward my hand? Come, let me clutch thee!

I have thee not, and yet I see thee still.

Art thou not, fatal vision, sensible

To feeling as to sight? or art thou but

A dagger of the mind, a false creation

Proceeding from the heat-oppress猫d brain?

I see thee yet, in form as palpable

As this which now I draw.

Thou marshall%26#039;st me the way that I was going,

And such an instrument I was to use.

Mine eyes are made the fools o%26#039; th%26#039; other senses,

Or else worth all the rest. I see thee still,

And on thy blade and dudgeon gouts of blood,

Which was not so before. There%26#039;s no such thing.

It is the bloody business which informs

Thus to mine eyes. Now o%26#039;er the one half-world

Nature seems dead, and wicked dreams abuse

The curtained sleep. Witchcraft celebrates

Pale Hecate%26#039;s offerings; and withered murder,

Alarumed by his sentinel, the wolf,

Whose howl %26#039;s his watch, thus with his stealthy pace,

With Tarquin%26#039;s ravishing strides, towards his design

Moves like a ghost. Thou sure and firm-set earth,

Hear not my steps which way they walk, for fear

Thy very stones prate of my whereabout

And take the present horror from the time,

Which now suits with it. Whiles I threat, he lives;

Words to the heat of deeds too cold breath gives.

[A bell rings.]

I go, and it is done. The bell invites me.

Hear it not, Duncan, for it is a knell

That summons thee to heaven, or to hell.

Flute tuning rod?

I have a Vito flute that I bought off ebay and it didnt come with a tuning rod. It has been a while since i have been in HS band and I can%26#039;t remember if all tuning rods will work on all standard flutes. I know i have serious tuning issues and that I need to adjust the cork, but I want to make sure that I will be checking it properly. Thanks for the help.
Flute tuning rod?
The best solution for a flute would be a sledgehammer.
Flute tuning rod?
i%26#039;m pretty sure all tuning rods are the same.
Reply:All tuning rods work universally for all flutes. I would suggest getting a nice wood one as opposed to the thin metal ones, just because the wood one won%26#039;t scratch the interior of the flute as a metal one might.

Is It Fair To You?
Well. Do the other kids want to do a solo? If they are always begging the teacher to do a solo and then she always picks that one girl then it is not fair. But life%26#039;s not fair.
Is It Fair To You?
Hell no,absolutely not,of course not.
Reply:Welcome to what choir teachers do. They choose a few favorites and those favorites get everything: they get into the best choirs, they get the choirs, and everyone adores them. The sooner you and your daughter accept this, the sooner your daughter can enjoy choir. It isn%26#039;t fair, but it%26#039;s part of the choir experience.

depends on your commitment, but to learnthe basics is not that hard, to master the basics will take a lifetime
Reply:Only the beginning of learning the guitar

It personally really frustrated me to the point where I didn%26#039;t want to play anymore, so I stopped playing it for a little while, then I picked it back up a month later and starting playing it again, and did well and I%26#039;ve been going strong ever since, about 5 years

You%26#039;ll be learning the whole time you play guitar

So keep your mind open :D
Reply:It can be at times because I have to admit when I first started learning chords especially bar chords it was hard so, my advice is work hard and try your best and you will be a great guitar player in no time.
Reply:first off, don%26#039;t listen to Cass or whatever, she must have had a bad teacher or something...My teacher is very laid back, i tell him what i want to learn weather it be a song or a certain technique, and he shows me...It is quite hard when starting out because you will get frustrated, but stick with it...and you will build callouses so your fingers wont hurt as bad. Once you get the basics, things seem to flow much easier. I practice about 4-5 hours a day, and yes this is what it takes to become great...
Reply:It%26#039;s not necessarily hard, but it depends on how badly you want to learn. When I was a kid, I was forced into it and I hated it. In college though, I decided to give it another shot and now I love it. It became much easier when I wanted it for me instead of for my parents.

To stay motivated, start with simple songs that you like that only use 3 or 4 chords. You can play a bunch of great songs with G, C, Am, and D.

Will a blank fender replacment neck fit my squire affinity stratocaster?

i got a new two piece maple neck for my squire affinity strat. im wondering if it will fit? will it be too big? do i have to sand the back of the neck down to make it not as tall?
Will a blank fender replacment neck fit my squire affinity stratocaster?
it should fit since squire is just a branch of fender. i don%26#039;t know for sure, but it seems right for it to fit since they are basically the same.
Will a blank fender replacment neck fit my squire affinity stratocaster?
Yeah, as long as the neck is a licensed fender neck- this doesn%26#039;t mean it is made by fender, many companies build necks to Fender%26#039;s specs. There was a brief time, I think in the early 70%26#039;s that the necks were bolted by 3 screws as opposed to the much more common 4 bolt neck. As long as you have the right bolt holes, you shouldn%26#039;t have to file a thing.
Reply:Anything fits on anything. The problem is that it will be out of tune with no intonation and no way to adjust the harmonics either.

The neck has to be the exact size as the one you are replacing or you will never get it in tune.

Their isn%26#039;t much play at the bridge to fully adjust an odd size neck.

Thick before buying one.

Can someone please help me? for songs.?

i am 15. i write songs. but cannot for the life of me, write melodies. can someone help me with that. like how to create good chord progressions.?

also, how do i get my stuff out, there, so people will see it?
Can someone please help me? for songs.?
I don%26#039;t know anything about chord progressions..

but some of my friends have a band and they just started getting more popular because of myspace, and also they just went to a battle of the bands and a ton of people have been checking them out now.

another good thing to do is play in like coffee shops and stuff like that, a lof of times open mics can get you somewhere.
Can someone please help me? for songs.?
I have been playing piano since I was 5. I went through the Yamaha music program young, and went to college playing in a symphony as a flutist, and pianist for the gospel choir.

The BEST way to learn chord progressions is to start with the basics:

a. Learn you major and minor scales

b. Learn you harmonic minor and major scales

Once you learn your scales on the guitar, everything will fall into place, and your ear will be more developed.

Good luck ;)

Thinking about learning the flute as a 2nd instument?

I always used to dream about playing a flute when I was younger, but I chose the clarinet because it has both low and high notes. I don%26#039;t regret that decision and I have played the clarinet for 5 years now and now I started thinking about playing the flute again. (lolz I had a dream about it) I enjoy the clarinet, but I%26#039;m thinking of maybe trying the flute. I mean, I love the pretty sound it makes lol, (god, that%26#039;s such stupid reasoning). I dunno, just wonderin%26#039; how hard it is to learn from like a lesson book or video or something. I know its different, but I was just wondering how hard the transition is and if it%26#039;s not too hard to learn without lessons. (I took lessons in school for the clarinet, though I%26#039;m not doing band next year) I know it%26#039;s better to have lessons, but how hard is it to learn and what%26#039;s the price range for a NEW regular concert flute?
Thinking about learning the flute as a 2nd instument?
if you can learn one instrument, you can learn them all!

you just need to practice p r a c t i c e PRACTICE!

it%26#039;s very good to play more then one instrument.

it makes you musically diverse.

try talking to your band director to ask him to help you find a new flute. our band director helps us.
Thinking about learning the flute as a 2nd instument?
beginner flutes are about $200- $800

i suggest you get a second hand flute, it%26#039;s much much cheaper just make sure it%26#039;s in decent shape.

i don%26#039;t think you should try to learn from a video. The embouchure is completely different from the clarinet. And it only sounds pretty if you have good tone, which of course comes from a good embouchure.

it%26#039;s hard to learn. it may take a week or so just to get a sound out of it.

Best of luck to you!!
Reply:Yes go for it Ive been playing piano for 4 yrs and my new bf he plays the cello and since i want major in music im goin to take lessons ya it will e different but what the crap it is awesome you brought this up Good Luck
Reply:HI there. The flute is not that difficult to learn to play and you don%26#039;t necessarily have to take lessons since you have the knowledge of so much dealing with music but you do have to start from the beginning... just like a sixth grader. You will have to learn how to blow the instrument, and that will not be as easy as you think... You are used to the clarinet embouchure and it is a 180 from flute embouchure. I would not try to learn from a video but I do have a couple of suggestions. The best book for beginning flute players is Rubank Elementary Method for Flute and Piccolo. It has a fingering chart in the front of the book that you may refer to as you need to. Now that it is summer, you have plenty of time on your hands to try to practice at least half an hour a day. Make it a point to do one lesson a week from the Rubank book. Take your time and don%26#039;t rush. You did not learn clarinet in a couple of weeks and you won%26#039;t learn flute any faster. My other suggestion is that surely you have band friends that play flute. Ask one of them to help you out with the correct technique of blowing into the flute and making a nice clear sound. You will use 3 times the amount of air it takes to blow your clarinet to get a clear and full sound out of the flute. You will need someone%26#039;s help and a friend can help without the cost of flute lessons. You asked about an instrument. A used flute would be appropriate for you at this time. And have a friend go with you to shop around for one. A pawn shop is one suggestion. You need the friend to be with you to look the instrument over and to play it to see if there are any leaks or other mechanical issues. For a used beginner flute, I would not pay more than $300.00 depending on the name brand. Yamaha / Gemeinhardt / Armstrong / Pearl are ones that I would recommend to you. Open hole or closed hole flute does not matter. That would be your personal preference but I always start my students out on a closed hole. Hope I was able to help and I encourage to try the flute. You will like it.

Reply:omgosh. im in your exact situation.

my mom played the flute and so since we had one laying around i thought i was gonna end up playing that.

but...i chose clarinet. ive been playing for almost 7 years now. and i love it!!!!!!

then i decided that itd be so cool to be able to play the flute. like you said it can have a really pretty sound.

so i took my moms flute and a beginning book and i learned it like that! *snaps* haha. but really. if its something you really wanna do then do it. im so glad i decided to learn it. :]

and i can tell you for a fact that its not that hard...to learn the basics....[im not a real flute player and i dont wanna offend any flute players by saying its easy...because more advanced stuff probably is!!] but im not one to come home and practice everyday. trust me, i do everything to AVOID practicing. and i learned how to play the flute.

so i advise the Standard of Excellence red book.

very simple to learn from. and not expensive.

as for price. i have no idea. sorry.

but from what ive seen walking around the music store we have here, new flutes arent cheap.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!
Reply:good choice! i play the flute and i%26#039;m learning the clarinet.

the flute is such a wonderful instrument. you really have to practice it though. it isn%26#039;t too hard to learn from a book or video, you just have to have somewhat of an idea of what you%26#039;re doing. you should totally continue with band! good luck!

What is the best way to get hairs on violin bow replaced? & How much would it cost?

The hairs have become detached from my violin bow and need to be replaced. It is not an especially expensive bow. Is it easy to replace these myself, or how much do you think it would cost to get someone to do it? Thanks.
What is the best way to get hairs on violin bow replaced? %26amp; How much would it cost?
you should just get a new bow, they are about $50 i think
What is the best way to get hairs on violin bow replaced? %26amp; How much would it cost?
You have to go to a violin shop.

it costs like $20- $30. you should get it rehaired several times a year depending on how much you play.
Reply:If you play in an orchestra then ask your teacher if not go to Music Doctors or some where its not that expensive
Reply:Buy them and install them yourself. This is not expensive although there are different qualities and this depends on the quality of the bow as well.

The price is roughly $5 and you have to ungle the top end of the bow, and reglue it in place.

black...it wont show as much dirt, grime, or sweat if playing gigs, and you won%26#039;t get sick of it
What color should i get this guitar in?
probably white if u want to decorate it with stuff but other than that probably black
Reply:black, you can see those lines on the body better in white and that makes it look uglier.

I%26#039;ve checked out this guitar before and it was White and I didn%26#039;t think it was too flattering.

I need help understanding chord structure?

I need help understanding chord structure?
can%26#039;t help ya there

good luck
I need help understanding chord structure?
well what kind of reading do the books give you? do they say G chord here and C chord here. or are they on tabs or what? id say get a teacher really
Reply:its simple, theres no chords on a bass, just notes.
Reply:Usually you%26#039;ll use 3 fingers but if you cant reach just use two dude I play piano and i have some CRAZY 5 note chords so dont sweat it see your conductor or teacher (MUSIC ROCKS!!!!)
Reply:ok when a guy plays a chord on a piano, he usually uses 3, 4, or 5 of his fingers

this makes 3, 4, or 5 notes that make up the chord

the lowest note is usually the first note of the scale. ( C in a C chord) the rest of his fingers can go on any of the notes but is most typically C E G high C or the First, Third, Fifth and then first again up high.

This makes a normal chord, but then you can also alter each note to make special chords like minor and mixolydian
Reply:One of the easiest ways to understand chord structure is sitting at a PIANO.

Get a beginning music theory book. Jazz books often have lots of good stuff.

With your book start by locating middle C or at least a C note. You will learn that chords are groupings of 3 or more notes.

A C triad (triad means 3 note chord) is C, E, G. When you look at the piano as well as the keyboard, you%26#039;ll see that C is a 3rd- 3 steps away from each other- from E. So E is called the 3rd tone in the C chord, where C is the Root tone of the chord. G is a 5th away (count C, D, E, F, G= equals a 5th) form C. So the G is the 5th in the key and chord of C.

I doubt I%26#039;m explaining it clearly and music theory, including the structure of chords clearly. That%26#039;s why you need to go to a good music store or get a theory book online.

I totally commend you as a bassist realizing that just because you often play single note lines, your understanding of music and growth as a musician will be exponential the more you understand.
Reply:I hate to quibble, but an E is two steps away from a C, not three. =)

The idea is that normal major and minor chords are built on stacked thirds. There are two types of thirds, major thirds and minor thirds. Chords are built from alternating major and minor thirds.

This is going to get into some music theory, and I strongly urge you to do some googling or get a book on it - I%26#039;m trying to keep it simple, but I%26#039;m leaving stuff out.

If you look at the frets of your guitar, each fret = one half step. Two frets = 1 step. A major third is two steps, or four frets, and a minor third is a step and a half, or three frets.

So if we want to build a major chord, we take a note and add a major third, then a minor third. If we want to build a minor chord, we take a note and add a minor third, then a major third.

What we end up with is a root, a third, and a fifth... and thus our chord. Did you notice that the fifth is always three and a half steps above our root? That%26#039;s why it%26#039;s called a perfect interval....

It really helps to know your notes and what they correspond to on the fretboard, and once you get this you%26#039;ll realize that there are patterns you can play when you know if a chord is major or minor!

This doesn%26#039;t cover suspended chords or diminished chords or extensions or alterations, but it%26#039;s a place to start. Usually as a bassist you%26#039;ll be sticking to roots, thirds, fifths, and octaves anyways.

Good luck! Now go google you some bass patterns and fingerings and maybe some chord theory... it%26#039;s sooo worth it once you learn it!

Saul
Reply:chords are constucted of scale tones... major scale, 1234567 repeat... major chord. 135 triad.... minor chord triad has a minor 3..... thats how it is done.. learn the scales and scale degrees and you will be able to make any chord

Were can i find a foot joint for my flute?
Try ebay. That%26#039;s probably your best bet, but you might wanna try going to your local music shop and seeing what they think. They might have some extra parts you can buy for a cheap price.
Were can i find a foot joint for my flute?
For an emergency, you can always get a %26quot;flute for parts%26quot; on eBay. They come pretty cheap.
Reply:try ebay or your local music store. they may have spare parts.

good luck.
Reply:I read some good answers here. You may want to try ebay for an As-is instrument, but not just any will work. You have to get the foot for the model of flute that you have and that might be where you may run into problems. Try your local music store to see if one can be ordered for your flute.
Reply:ebay all the way lol.

Do you know any good opera arias for a coloratura soprano?

I%26#039;m sixteen but have been taking voice lessons since the sixth grade (studying classically for two years), and I feel like it%26#039;s time to step it up a bit. Some pieces I%26#039;ve studied recenty are %26quot;Danza, danza, fanciulla gentile%26quot;, %26quot;Windmung%26quot;, %26quot;Se tu m%26#039;ami%26quot;, and %26quot;Vittoria mio core%26quot;. I%26#039;m looking for a farely difficult piece that will give me challenge, my top note is E above high C, F sharp on a really good day. Anyone have any suggestions? and thank you in advance =]
Do you know any good opera arias for a coloratura soprano?
Any of Zerlina%26#039;s arias from Don Giovanni (Batti Batti and Vedrai Carino) are good to start with; they%26#039;re pretty light and easy, but still a good step up from the 24 Italian Art Songs book :)

In Uomini from Cosi Fan Tutte is also fun, as are O Mio Babbino Caro and Quando Me%26#039;n Vo

The pieces I just mentioned are fairly easy, but they can be impressive. If you want even more of a challenge, Tornami a Vaggeghiar (by Handel) is quite a difficult piece, but very fun to sing. You can also consider Chacun le Sait (from The Daughter of the Regiment). They both require a lot of breath control and coloratura abilities, but they%26#039;re incredibly fun to sing. Have fun and good luck!
